Montebello Quartzite Kitchen Countertops in Rocklin, CA

Project Backstory

The project centered on a kitchen installation designed to balance everyday functionality with a refined, custom feel. From the outset, the goal was to create a clean and cohesive space that would support daily use while elevating the overall look of the kitchen. Careful planning and coordination ensured the layout, fabrication, and installation came together seamlessly, resulting in a finished space that feels both intentional and timeless.

Location: Rocklin, CA

Project Materials

For the materials, 2CM Montebello Quartzite was selected to anchor the design with natural beauty and durability. This stone is known for its elegant movement and subtle tonal variation, making it well suited for a kitchen environment where visual interest and performance matter. The slabs were fabricated with mitered edges, creating a thicker, more substantial appearance while maintaining crisp lines and smooth transitions. The material choice and edge detail work together to deliver a polished, high end finish that complements the kitchen’s overall design.

Frequently Asked Questions

Find answers to the most common questions about our quartz countertops here.

1. Is quartzite a good choice for kitchen countertops?

Yes. Quartzite is a natural stone that’s often chosen for kitchens because it offers a strong, durable surface while still delivering the one-of-a-kind movement and variation you only get from quarried stone. It’s a great fit for homeowners who want a high-end look without sacrificing everyday performance.

2. What’s the difference between quartzite and marble?

Quartzite and marble can look similar, especially when both have light backgrounds and soft veining, but they’re different stones. Marble is known for its classic elegance and smoother, more dramatic veining, while quartzite is typically selected when a homeowner wants a natural stone look with added toughness for busy kitchens.

3. Will quartzite look consistent from slab to slab?

Not always, and that’s part of its appeal. Quartzite varies in pattern, veining, and color movement depending on the slab, so each installation is unique. Many fabricators recommend viewing and selecting the exact slabs before fabrication to ensure the overall look matches your vision.

What our Customers are Saying

We had our second project done with Stokes. Everything went smooth and installers did whole kitchen countertop and back splash done in a day and cleaned the space before leaving. The fabricator discount that Stokes gave us while buying the slabs helped us a lot to save money and to buy the slabs that we liked. Overall; I am happy working with them and I will reach out to them for any future project we may have.

Stokes just installed new quartz countertops in my kitchen, laundry room and half bathroom. What a transformation to my house! The installation crew did an outstanding job. They were careful, courteous, friendly, and it was fun to watch the pros at work. Mike did a perfect job making the templates. Ashley was delightful to work with on all the paperwork and scheduling. I couldn’t be happier with everyone at Stokes. I happily give the my highest recommendation and would call them first in the future!
