Project Materials

This project includes 34 square feet of 3CM Black Mist Honed granite, crafted with a 3CM eased edge for a clean and timeless profile. The honed finish gives the black granite a smooth, matte texture, enhancing its modern look while also minimizing glare in outdoor light. Frequently Asked Questions

Find answers to the most common questions about our quartz countertops here.

1. Is granite a good choice for kitchen countertops?

Yes, granite is one of the most durable natural stone options for kitchen countertops. It’s highly resistant to scratches, heat, and everyday wear, making it a reliable surface for cooking and meal prep. With proper sealing, granite is also resistant to stains and bacteria, which makes it a safe and long-lasting choice for busy kitchens.

2. Does granite need to be sealed?

Granite is a porous material, which means sealing is recommended to protect it from absorbing liquids and staining. Most fabricators will seal granite at installation, and depending on the type of stone and usage, resealing every few years may be suggested. This helps maintain both the stone’s appearance and performance.

3. Can granite be used outdoors?

Yes, granite is one of the best natural stones for outdoor applications. It can withstand heat, cold, rain, and direct sunlight without fading or breaking down. Granite is often used for outdoor kitchens, patio tables, and even around fire features. However, darker granites can become hot in direct sun, so they may need to be cooled with water before use.

What our Customers are Saying

We had our second project done with Stokes. Everything went smooth and installers did whole kitchen countertop and back splash done in a day and cleaned the space before leaving. The fabricator discount that Stokes gave us while buying the slabs helped us a lot to save money and to buy the slabs that we liked. Overall; I am happy working with them and I will reach out to them for any future project we may have.

Past Customer

Stokes just installed new quartz countertops in my kitchen, laundry room and half bathroom. What a transformation to my house! The installation crew did an outstanding job. They were careful, courteous, friendly, and it was fun to watch the pros at work. Mike did a perfect job making the templates. Ashley was delightful to work with on all the paperwork and scheduling. I couldn’t be happier with everyone at Stokes. I happily give the my highest recommendation and would call them first in the future!
